About this event

Community Bucket Volunteers with Chomp & Stomp!

Come out and volunteer with us at one of Atlanta's favorite fall festivals, Chomp & Stomp! Join Community Bucket as we give back to the Cabbagetown community, enjoy some delicious chili, listen to live music, and catch up with friends! We're excited to return to Chomp & Stomp on Saturday, November 7th! We'll be working the afternoon shift, helping festival organizers keep everything running smoothly. After our shift, stick around to enjoy the festivities with your fellow volunteers! Volunteer Shift: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Please arrive at 2:30 PM)

What We'll Be Doing

Volunteers will have two opportunities to help:

• Beer Tent: Help sell and serve beer to festival attendees. This is a great option if you'd prefer to stay in one location throughout your shift.

• Worker Bees: Help festival organizers with various tasks throughout the event. This is a more active role where you'll move around the festival and assist wherever needed!

Want to volunteer alongside a friend? Select the same volunteer role and include their name in the comments section of your registration. Organizers will do their best to keep you together!

Volunteer Registration — REQUIRED!

Everyone volunteering MUST complete the Chomp & Stomp volunteer registration in addition to RSVPing on Meetup. --> PLEASE SIGN UP HERE

We recommend registering early to increase your chances of receiving your preferred event T-shirt size. As a thank-you for volunteering, you'll receive a Chomp & Stomp event T-shirt and a coveted chili-tasting spoon!

Come Early for Chili!

Chomp & Stomp's famous chili tasting begins at 12:30 PM sharp and typically wraps up around 1:30 PM. We highly recommend arriving early to grab your spoon, sample some delicious chili, enjoy the live music, and explore the festival before our volunteer shift!

Check-In

Please arrive at 2:30 PM to meet your fellow Community Bucket volunteers, get organized, and receive your assignments. All volunteers must be at their assigned positions and ready to begin by 3:00 PM. Exact meeting location will be shared closer to the event date.

What to Bring

• Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking and standing

• A refillable water bottle

• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed!

Please only RSVP if you're confident you can attend. This event requires coordination with festival organizers, so if your availability changes, please update your RSVP as soon as possible.

Parking & Transportation

Parking will be EXTREMELY limited! Cabbagetown is a small neighborhood, and parking near the festival will be difficult. We strongly encourage volunteers to walk, bike, rideshare, or take MARTA. The festival is easily accessible from the BeltLine and the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA station.

After-Party at 97 Estoria! 🍻

The fun doesn't stop when our volunteer shift ends! Join your fellow Community Bucket volunteers at 97 Estoria , a beloved neighborhood bar in Cabbagetown, for some well-deserved drinks, food, and good company! It's the perfect opportunity to unwind, hang out, and celebrate a great day of giving back. After-party details are tentative and will be confirmed closer to the event!

About Chomp & Stomp

Chomp & Stomp is a beloved Atlanta tradition featuring a chili cook-off, live bluegrass music, local artists, and community festivities! The festival supports the Cabbagetown Initiative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving and maintaining the neighborhood's parks, green spaces, and community resources. By volunteering, you're helping preserve one of Atlanta's most historic and vibrant neighborhoods!
