About this event

Breathing Through Grief is a 6-part somatic healing series designed to support individuals navigating grief, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, identity shifts, stress, and nervous system dysregulation through breath, body awareness, gentle movement, emotional processing, grounding practices, and compassionate community support.

Grief impacts more than the mind — it lives within the body.

It can appear as chronic tension, shallow breathing, emotional numbness, exhaustion, anxiety, overwhelm, disconnection, irritability, physical pain, difficulty resting, or feeling unsafe within ourselves after loss or significant life change.

This series was created to offer participants a safe and supportive space to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and process emotions gently through a nervous system-centered approach.

Each workshop combines :

• somatic breathwork

• nervous system education• grounding and regulation tools

• guided emotional processing• gentle movement and body awareness• optional hands-on myofascial support

• meditation and integration practices

• community reflection and sharing

The intention of this series is not to “fix” grief or rush healing, but to provide compassionate support while honoring the body’s natural process of holding, protecting, releasing, and integrating emotional experiences.

Throughout the series, participants will explore themes such as :

• creating safety within the body

• emotional expression and suppression

• sacred rage and overwhelm

• reconnecting to joy and pleasure

• the body’s relationship to grief and chronic tension

• identity shifts after loss

• nervous system regulation and resilience

• self-compassion and ongoing support practices

This series is designed to meet participants exactly where they are.

All workshops are facilitated through a trauma-aware, grounding-focused lens that prioritizes emotional safety, nervous system support, consent, and compassionate pacing.

Participants do not need prior experience with breathwork or somatic practices to attend.

The overall intention is to create a space where individuals feel :

• supported rather than isolated

• connected rather than shut down

• empowered rather than overwhelmed

• gently guided back toward themselves with compassion and care

Grief deserves a safe place to land. And healing does not have to happen alone.

Facilitated by: Christina Belue w/ Rooted in Love Breath & Bodywork

Christina is an Integrative Massage Therapist, Somatic Breathwork Facilitator, and space holder passionate about supporting individuals through nervous system healing, emotional processing, embodiment, and reconnection to self through the body and breath.

Her work combines somatic breathwork, nervous system education, grounding practices, intuitive body-based support, and compassionate care to create spaces where individuals feel safe to soften, process, release, and reconnect with themselves.

Drawing from her background in massage therapy, somatic healing practices, body awareness, and emotional regulation work, Christina approaches facilitation through a gentle, trauma-aware, and deeply nurturing lens.

Her facilitation style emphasizes:

• nervous system safety

• compassionate pacing

• emotional permission

• grounding and regulation

• embodied healing practices

• creating supportive community spaces

Christina believes the body holds immense wisdom and that healing often begins when individuals feel safe enough to slow down, breathe, and listen inward with compassion rather than judgment.

Through her work, she aims to help individuals reconnect to themselves with greater softness, presence, emotional awareness, and self-trust.
