Intro to Jewelry Smithing ($24 with promo code in description)

This class is part of a series being supported by Fulton County Arts and Culture to provide affordable arts instruction. Use promo code "fulton" to pay $24 for this class (70% discount from normal price) . The promo code is intended for Fulton County residents. Residency verification will not be required.

Funding for this program is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. ------------- Have you wanted to try your hand at making jewelry, outside of bead work or wire wrapping? Come learn the foundations of jewelry smithing, in this 3 hr(potentially 4hr) class you’ll learn how to cut into metal using a jeweler’s saw, gain the skills to finish and polish a piece, and do some light soldering. The skills learned from this class is intended as a foundation which will be built upon if you choose to take Beginner Jewelry Smithing.

*For your safety(and comfort), please be sure to come to class with closed toed shoes, clothes you don't mind getting dirty(we will be in a shared workshop space that collects dust and other grit easily), and for those with shoulder length hair(and longer) please be sure to tie hair up and away from face(especially during the summer heat, also be sure to bring a water bottle), thank you.
