  • South Cobb Regional Library hosts two February events. Origami Valentines, a paper-folding workshop honoring the holiday, runs Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11:00 a.m., and a Pokémon Party with battles, trades, and headband decorating is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1:00 p.m.—both hosted in Mableton.  Cobb County Courier

  • On Friday, Jan. 30, 95 new business licenses were issued in unincorporated Cobb County that mainly went to professional and personal services + property-related and retail operations, showing a growing market for local specialized expertise.  Cobb County Courier

  • Stand-up comedian Kathleen Madigan will perform her Day Drinking Tour at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre at the end of February & offer local audiences live comedy.  Marietta Daily Journal
  • Cobb Landmarks organized a walking tour on Sunday — the first day of Black History Month — to explore racial history in Marietta and offer residents a chance to learn about local heritage.  Marietta Daily Journal
  • North Cobb Regional Library is hosting a series of themed events this February, including The Lives and Loves of the Founding Fathers on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m., an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party on Wednesday, Feb. 11 for tweens and teens, and a Bridgerton Inspired Ball on Friday, Feb. 20.  Cobb County Courier

  • The Cobb County Courier moved its weekend library quizzes to the main website and expanded them to ten questions to help local readers learn about libraries. The quizzes now include links for further information.  Cobb County Courier

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Georgia Department of Public Health released health inspection scores for Cobb County food service venues inspected Jan. 23–29. Establishments like Macland Wings and More and Taco Bell scored between 73 and 100, providing a snapshot of public health standards for local eateries.  Cobb County Courier

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A report on December 2025 home sales in the Hillgrove High attendance zone shows prices ranging from $230,100 to $1,200,000. Data from the Cobb County Tax Assessor's website sorts sales by high school zones to cover the entire county.  Cobb County Courier
  • The final stage demolition began today at Galleria Mall as part of its $190 million renovation and expansion plan — the nearby convention centre, which reopened in January, continues hosting events.  WSB-TV
