  • Rocky Moore and his development partner will open a Smalls Sliders location on Windy Hill near Cobb Parkway on March 17; the outlet, housed in a converted shipping container, will serve slider combos, fries + milkshakes with queso at a fast-food price point.  Cobb County Courier
  • Asher and Rose Grocers has replaced the former Piastra Italian restaurant on Marietta Square. The store now welcomes residents with a fresh business option in the area.  Marietta Daily Journal

CULTURE NEWS

  • Switzer Library in Marietta is celebrating Black History Month with a series of events this February, including sensory friendly film screenings on Mondays, a Lake Lanier discussion at 6:00 p.m. Monday, and a veterans panel on Feb. 6. ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA’s weekly report said that regular gas dropped four cents to $2.66 per gallon in Cobb County and statewide on Monday due to ample fuel supplies and lower regional demand, while national prices remain higher after winter storm disruptions.  Cobb County Courier

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Braves have unveiled specialty bobbleheads and crossover jersey giveaways for the 2026 season — promotions will start on March 27 at Truist Park when the team faces the Royals.  WSB-TV
  • The Atlanta Braves are preparing for a new broadcast model (possibly a streaming platform) to show all games across Braves Country. The team said more details will be shared soon to ensure fans have full coverage for the 2026 season.  11Alive
