- ➤ Police found 52-year-old Camilla Williams dead at a home on Pat Mell Road in Marietta around 8:25 a.m. on Thursday and later arrested 21-year-old Hector David Sagastume Rivas—accused of putting her in a chokehold that caused her death and now charged with felony murder. 11Alive

- ➤ Cobb County, along with the City of Kennesaw, will host a Countywide Job Fair on Tuesday, April 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobb County Civic Center—548 S. - ➤ The Marietta Board of Education will consider spending over $500,000 on weapons detectors for schools — the decision will be made at an upcoming board meeting. 11Alive
- ➤ Parents and students in Smyrna have started a Change.org petition asking Campbell High School to rehire Coaches Randy McClure and James Gwyn after they were let go despite long and successful careers. The petition has nearly 2,800 signatures and cites the coaches’ 1,200 career wins, 16 region titles and multiple state tournament appearances to support their call for an honorable exit. WSB-TV
