ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 30, Commissioner Monique Sheffield hosted her annual Earth Day litter cleanup at the Walmart parking lot on the East West Connector and Floyd Road. Over 440 volunteers—many from Keep Cobb Beautiful, Cobb Parks and Cobb DOT—helped clear debris before celebrating with food and music. Cobb County Courier

- ➤ The Georgia Survivor Justice Act passed in the state House and now awaits Senate action—if approved, judges will be required to consider domestic abuse when resentencing survivors in prison who committed crimes tied to their experiences.
