- ➤ Cobb’s nonprofit Ser Familia moved into an 84,000 (sqft) headquarters in Kennesaw just in time for its 25th anniversary, marking a major upgrade that supports its local community programs. Marietta Daily Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Drivin N Cryin will headline Marietta’s free Independence Eve Concert on July 3—from 7 to 9 p.m. on Marietta Square—launching Fourth in the Park weekend as part of the city’s Independence Day festivities. Cobb County Courier
- ➤ In the early 1900s, Cobb County had strict rules for new automobiles (drivers required to keep safe distances from horses) until uniform traffic laws in 1910 eased restrictions. Improved roads later turned muddy paths into paved highways, setting the stage for modern travel. Cobb County Courier
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices increased on Sunday, with the national average now above $4 per gallon, and Marietta drivers may see higher fuel costs as global oil pressures continue to push prices upward. AAA reported a steady rise from earlier this week + seasonal demand is also contributing. 11Alive

- ➤ A Cobb County judge ordered former RHOA star Kim Zolciak to complete four therapy sessions from April 3 to April 13 + her children will remain with her ex-husband Kroy Evan Biermann until therapy is verified. WSB-TV

- ➤ The Georgia Department of Public Health released food inspection scores for Cobb County establishments between Mar. 27 and Apr. 2 & scores ranged from 80 to 100. Local restaurants, schools and hotels were inspected during that week. Cobb County Courier
