CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A chaotic shooting unfolded Wednesday night at Lakeside at Town Center apartments on Williams Drive when multiple callers reported gunfire, shell casings from at least three weapons were found, and a black BMW fled the scene and crashed at the intersection of Polk Street—Mountain View Road where five suspects were taken into custody along with multiple handguns and a rifle. 11Alive
- ➤ Cobb County authorities arrested six individuals on April 10 in connection with an overnight shooting that led to four firearms being recovered and emergency treatment for two victims; all suspects—including two from Marietta—now face charges of Felony Aggravated Assault with Intent to Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime—details remain under active investigation. - ➤ Cobb County Drug Treatment Court held a graduation ceremony in the Cobb Superior Court Ceremonial Courtroom to honor six people who completed an intensive rehabilitation program. - ➤ The Food and Drug Administration classified the recall of fewer than 1,300 bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips sold in Georgia—along with products in other states—as a Class I recall because the chips may be mislabeled as nacho cheese and contain undeclared milk—posing a risk of a severe allergic reaction for people with dairy allergies.
