The Cobb Collaborative hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Little Free Library at Ford Elementary School.

🚧 Accidents
On Friday before 5:30 a.m., deputies closed both directions of Interstate 20 near the Riverside Drive exit in Cobb County after a deadly pedestrian crash—officials have not yet identified the pedestrian or announced when the road will reopen.

Akeela Clarke, 19, was shot and killed by a co-worker early Friday morning at Walmart, leaving her family heartbroken.

On October 1, 2024, the IRS extended tax filing relief for individuals and businesses in Georgia affected by Hurricane Helene—taxpayers who qualify may file federal returns and payments until May 1.
