Marietta bookkeeper Claudia Patricia Angulo has been charged with payroll theft for allegedly taking $46,167.68 from Tile Media Properties—doing business as The Tile Doctor—while employed since November 1, 2023.

The Book Worm Book Fest will return to Powder Springs from April 28 to May 3 with a week of literary events hosted by The Book Worm Bookstore, the City, and Cobb County Public Library.

The festival will feature an all-day event on May 3 at Thurman Springs Park—starting with a Character Parade at 9:30 a.m. and including a One Book, One City discussion at 6 p.m.—and will include panels, readings, and a keynote by best-selling children’s author Breanna J. McDaniel.
