  • A metro Atlanta nonprofit that helps veterans & their service animals will get a new HVAC system at no cost, officials said. The upgrade will improve the building’s comfort as the group continues its work in the community.  WSB-TV
  • P’Nut Butter is a 5-year-old male ginger tabby/white domestic short hair cat in need of a loving home at Cobb County Animal Services at 1060 Al Bishop Drive in Marietta. Appointments are preferred (walk-ins welcome) for viewing, and visits can be booked online anytime.  Cobb County Courier

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters rescued residents from two floors at Concord Crossing Apartments on Woodsong Way during a recent fire rescue that left no injuries; management reviewed safety measures and relocated affected families after earlier fires raised concerns over closely placed units (residents recalled previous tragic fatalities).  WSB-TV
