- ➤ On Wednesday night, the Atlanta Humane Society drove five hours to rescue 19 puppies from a Blackshear shelter destroyed by wildfires and brought them to the crisis response center in Marietta; the puppies (aged 8 weeks to 3 months) are now receiving medical evaluations, food and care. - ➤ Cobb school board approved using $7.6 million from district funds to extend Gov. Kemp’s bonus to all eligible non-temporary employees, with payments scheduled for April 30 — checks for bi-weekly and paychecks for monthly staff.
