Police say a domestic dispute at a Marietta home escalated into a SWAT standoff on the 1600 block of Cunningham Road when a suspect barricaded inside the residence — officers later took them into custody.

Authorities arrested two convicted sex offenders—Demetrius Houston and Christopher Kaufmann—for living too near a daycare and community pool, and the Cobb County Sheriff’s Sex Offender Unit said it is cracking down on rule violations.
