- ➤ Georgia drivers should fill up before 11:59 p.m. today when the temporary gas tax break expires — Governor Brian Kemp has not yet announced any extension — as the break saves about 33 cents per gallon and costs the state roughly $200 million monthly. Fox 5 Atlanta
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Georgia Public Service Commission approved lowering Georgia Power’s fuel rate so that a typical 1,000-kilowatt-hour bill drops about $4 starting June 1 (the decision also calls for investigating fuel cost shifts from large customers).
