Six Flags Over Georgia, in Mableton, welcomed new president Richard Pretlow II, who said the park will host events — including a splash water parade through mid-June and Heroes and Villains in July — while offering behind-the-scenes STEM tours and jobs for the community.

Colt Chambers, owner and producer for The Alley Stage, was named assistant director of programming and talent for Freedom 250, America’s 250th celebration; he announced the appointment on Tuesday via Facebook in Marietta.
