  • Cobb County Courier selected Lucca — a 10-month-old male tan/black German shepherd now at Cobb Animal Services Shelter in Marietta at 1060 Al Bishop Drive. The shelter prefers appointment visits but welcomes walk-ins for lost pet recovery or owner surrenders.  Cobb County Courier

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Crews are investigating an unmanned boat circling Lake Allatoona on Thursday to determine if someone fell in—officials said they are checking the scene for evidence.  11Alive

CULTURE NEWS

  • Descendants of Matilda Ruff will gather for a Juneteenth dedication at Matilda’s Garden at 10 a.m. on June 14 near the Silver Comet Trail Concord Road Entrance by the Concord Covered Bridge. Great-granddaughter Tanyah Cotton will deliver the keynote address and Congresswoman Lucy McBath will offer special remarks as part of the event.  Cobb County Courier
