- ➤ After nine months of work, Paces Mill Park reopened on Saturday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony during Memorial Day weekend as part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area’s Palisades Unit. The park’s $6.3 million renovation improved boardwalks, parking, and river access—phase two will add a visitors center and open-air pavilion next year—boosting local outdoor recreation.
