- ➤ The Center for Family Resources released its 2024 report, which showed that Cobb County families made over 1,200 calls each month for help with rent and shelter, and that rising housing costs forced many into unstable living conditions. In 2024, the center provided short-term housing to 64 families and helped 86 families secure permanent homes plus distributed 72,000 pounds of food at Thanksgiving to support 1,000 families. - ➤ Christian Brothers Automotive in Acworth repaired donated cars for Together with Families—a metro Atlanta charity that gives free vehicles to families in need. The charity surprised its Engagement Coordinator Halle Mickel—with a past of hardship overcome—with a new car to help her move forward. WSB-TV
