- ➤ A family at Five7Five Riverside apartments in Mableton keeps a machete by the door and a baseball bat next to the bed to fight raccoons that have infested their ceiling since 2023 — a pest control company caught one raccoon and Code Enforcement will meet with the property manager next Wednesday to address the problem. - ➤ Midas is a two-year-old tri-color hound weighing 54 lbs from Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta and is available for adoption—appointments are preferred for pet visits though walk-ins are accepted. Cobb County Courier

- ➤ Marietta police arrested five individuals—including two juveniles—in connection with two gang-related shootings over Easter weekend that wounded three people on Natchez Trace and near North Marietta Parkway and Allgood Road, and they said the violence was linked to a feud between local neighborhood gangs as the investigation continues.
