  • Levi is a 10-month-old male white/tan Australian cattle dog available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta —he weighs 32 lbs and is in cage 825—.   • Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta has a 3-year-old brown tabby cat named Lilo available for adoption at its shelter on 1060 Al Bishop Drive. Visitors are encouraged to schedule appointments for pet visits—walk-ins and emergency cases are also accepted.  Cobb County Courier

  • Officer Dustin Krish was hit by a car on June 11 while directing traffic on Hwy. 27 and he is showing signs of responsiveness after doctors started a neurostimulant—his wife said he is coming back as he will soon move into rehab.  11Alive

BUSINESS NEWS

  • On June 30, Lockheed Martin's board of directors approved a third-quarter dividend of $3.30 per share payable on Sept 26 for record holders as of Sept 2—this decision follows a long history of significant local employment. The Marietta facility has been a key employer since 1951 and produces the C-130J Super Hercules—underscoring its ongoing role in the region.  Cobb County Courier

  • According to AAA’s weekly report, regular unleaded gas in Georgia dropped one cent to $2.94 per gallon while Cobb County prices reached $2.96, and drivers should expect a price rise during the busy July 4 travel weekend (EV charging rates here average just under 38 cents per kilowatt hour).  Cobb County Courier
