- ➤ AAA's weekly report shows gasoline prices in Georgia remained at $2.90 per gallon for regular unleaded gas and EV charging rates held at 36 cents per kWh. The report also noted that Cobb County gas cost $2.922 per gallon—about two cents above the state average. Cobb County Courier

- ➤ Public school students in Marietta face a new law that restricts cell phone use during class for kindergarten through eighth grade, and teacher groups as well as parents worry about teachers having to enforce this rule—middle school students may struggle the most with the change. - ➤ Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta announced today an immersive reading program to help prevent the summer slide. With help from Carter’s Charitable Foundation Inc.—which provided over 200 girls a free book, guide, and patch—and a new tree bookshelf at Camp Timber Ridge, the program will offer activities to boost reading skills. - ➤ Law enforcement in Georgia — along with officials in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee — are enforcing Operation Southern Slow Down by targeting speeders and aggressive drivers on major highways until July 20.
