Marietta City Schools superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera recommended that the board buy 42 HALO vape detection systems for Marietta High, Marietta Middle, and Woods-Wilkins Campus at Lemon Street—devices that detect chemicals from vape products at a cost of $41,790 if approved.

The board will discuss the proposal on Thursday.
