Cobb County Public Library will host free Gardeners’ Night Out workshops that teach perennial plant division techniques beginning Aug.

11 at East Cobb Library in Marietta and continuing at additional branches until early November. Participants will win raffles and door prizes and take home plants — boosting their gardening skills.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners approved a student housing project near KSU on July 25 — the plan will combine two parcels on a 6.64 acre lot and replace office buildings with a five-story structure providing 588 beds, 485 parking spaces, and student amenities.
