Marietta’s First Presbyterian Church raised over $10,000 Sunday for its weekly food pantry serving local families in need + the funds will support ongoing food distribution.

Between July 26 and Aug.
2, Cobb County issued 39 new business licenses for restaurants + retailers, contractors and health care providers to expand local options.
🎭 Culture
Marietta History Center will host its annual Rummage and Book Sale Aug.
13-15 (free entry) with donated books, furniture, collectibles, toys, and more, supporting the preservation of its 50,000-piece artifact collection. The event runs daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1 Depot St. in downtown Marietta.
🏛️ Government
The Georgia DOT released a schedule for lane closures on I-285 and I-20 for the $1.2 billion West Interchange project in Cobb and Fulton counties.
The closures start Monday, Aug. 3 and continue through Monday, Aug. 10 (detours are arranged so closures do not overlap).
