- ➤ Atlanta Braves legend Dale Murphy said his namesake restaurant at the Cobb Galleria will close on Aug 12—driven by upcoming mall renovations. The restaurant said its MVP Experiences will continue—an update will be provided later this fall. Fox 5 Atlanta

- ➤ The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art will host its August Art of the Cocktail event on Friday, August 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.—guests will enjoy a specialty cocktail, live music and hors d’oeuvres from Carriage House Catering, with $10 admission at the door and free entry for museum members. - ➤ Cobb County's 911 system was upgraded with AI features that let operators view live video and translate calls in real time + improve call accuracy. - ➤ Liam Harwell, a junior at Kennesaw State University, spent three months in the wilderness to improve his mental health by hiking, swimming, and simply enjoying nature without distractions.
