Marietta drivers may save on fuel costs as Capital One reports that the 2026 Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4 all earn above 40 mpg in combined driving, with buyers drawn to their low prices and strong resale value (helping reduce monthly expenses).

Cobb County School District projects enrollment to decline over the next decade but Superintendent Chris Ragsdale said Thursday there is no need for alarm as schools plan to adapt to changing student needs.

Work crews will close two lanes on I-285 from Hollowell Parkway to South Cobb Drive starting 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday for road rehabilitation; roadside signs and the 511GA app will help guide drivers through the delays.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has started construction at the intersection of Mt. Calvary Road and Dallas Highway in northwest Cobb County.

Work on the intersection is ongoing with no completion date yet provided.
