Deuce is a 1-year-old tri-color American pit bull terrier in shelter at Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta + the shelter now recommends scheduling appointments for pet visits while walk-ins for lost or stray pets remain accepted.
🎓 Education
Cobb school board candidate Micheal Garza was named a Safe Schools Champion by the Human Rights Campaign — recognizing his pledge to keep schools inclusive and safe.
He is running for Post 4 and will receive online training on building welcoming learning environments.
Cobb Superintendent Chris Ragsdale said his back-to-school address remarks will stand despite criticism from parents, students and educators.
His comments were made last month in Marietta.
