The Cobb County Chamber of Commerce announced that Pete Quinones—MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service founder and CEO—was chosen as its 2027 board chairman and will work with Chairwoman Melissa Cantrell until he takes over in January.
Quinones said he is eager to promote local business opportunities and strengthen collaboration among firms.
Marietta police reported a shooting at a Chevron station on Franklin Gateway SE—near Interstate-75—on Tuesday afternoon when an argument escalated to gunfire that resulted in one death and one arrest.
Marietta’s annual Art in the Park festival will take place over Labor Day weekend at Glover Park on Marietta Square — the free three-day event will feature a juried art exhibition of over 220 handcrafted works, live artist demonstrations, and hands-on art activities for children.
