CRIME NEWS

  • Smyrna police are searching for Denzel Peters who fired gunshots at 3 a.m. earlier this month, hitting a house and two cars — neighbors worry he remains on the streets.  WSB-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • Mountain View Regional Library will host a pilot performance of The Ugly Butterfly by Discovery Stage Company on Tuesday, September 23rd at 2 PM—this event is part of a change for the Page Turners Book Club that will focus on sharing books related to Georgia on my mind.  Cobb County Courier

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Marietta High held a pep rally that drew surprise guests and lifted student spirit. Social studies teacher Phil Rogers said he was amazed at how the event came together — noting that he did not question the school’s effort.  Marietta Daily Journal
