- ➤ Cobb County police are searching for missing man Elmer James Chesser—known as Jim—who was last seen at about 11:30 p.m. Friday near Haddonfield Court in Powder Springs and is six feet tall with gray hair and brown eyes. WSB-TV

- ➤ West Cobb Regional Library will host its Classifying Animals event on Thursday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m.—designed to help children learn how to group different animals using simple examples. Cobb County Courier

- ➤ Powder Springs residents have until September 7 to submit feedback on a plan to change a busy intersection into an 11-foot roundabout — which will include a 6-foot sidewalk and a 10-foot shared path. City and state transportation officials say the design is expected to cut nearly 70 past crashes and reduce delays, following an August 26 public meeting. Cobb County Courier
