ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An early morning fire at Chin Chin restaurant in East Cobb resulted in a total loss—firefighters arrived within four minutes and took six hours to put out the blaze while investigators began examining the cause. Fox 5 Atlanta

- ➤ Di’Vada Ka’mia Wilson of Atlanta was charged with running over a victim at the Smyrna ALDI on August 16 at 2:28 p.m. — she is accused of intentionally striking the victim and fleeing the scene. Marietta Daily Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Marietta Parks, Recreation & Facilities has announced that the Brown Bag Lunchtime Concert Series returns to Glover Park beginning Thursday, September 4 — the series starts at 12:00 p.m. with Kilough and will feature Anna Calvin, Funk Cake Band, and Austin and Amanda. Cobb County Courier
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Cobb DOT announced that work will begin on the Holly Springs Road corridor this month—this project will repurpose part of the left turn lane into dedicated left turn lanes with small medians for safety and is expected to finish by December. Cobb County Courier
