Kupcakerie owners Henry and Kascha Adeleye will open a new Smyrna location at 2517 Spring Road, Suite 102 in late September—drawing on growing neighborhood demand.
Cobb County issued 54 new business licenses for firms in sectors such as health care, construction and food service.
Many of these licenses have effective dates from late August to early September and will impact local operations in and around Marietta.

A 9/11 memorial field at Kennesaw Mountain shows 2,977 flags for each victim, arranged by Kiwanis of Marietta after volunteers paraded them last Saturday; the display is lit at night and stays through Sept.
19 with a memorial service next Friday at 7:45 a.m.

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper urged local farmers today to check pastures for invasive pasture mealybugs after the pest was detected in several fields across the state.
