- ➤ Glenmaine Scott was convicted of first‐degree burglary and sentenced to 20 years in prison after he burglarized his ex‐girlfriend’s Smyrna home on Jan. 6, 2022 when she returned from vacation to find her apartment ransacked—neighbors said they saw him removing items. WSB-TV

- ➤ Former Cobb County official and retired Marine colonel Mike Boyce will be posthumously inducted into the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame on November 1 in Columbus+ he served as Cobb Chair from 2017 to 2021 and was honored for his longstanding military and community service.
