- ➤ Cobb police have identified the victim in a decades-old cold case—Veronica Jane Miller of Mableton was confirmed through DNA testing and family interviews after her body was found near the Chattahoochee River on May 10—and the family has been notified. Cobb County Courier
- ➤ A Cobb County judge denied bond for former police lieutenant Christopher Bradshaw, accused of a deadly hit-and-run on I-75 last month that killed truck driver Terrell Loudermilk, and prosecutors plan to add charges as he remains in jail (the victim’s family urged that he stay locked up). WSB-TV

- ➤ Georgia's average gas price rose by one cent to $2.91 per gallon, which is still 16 cents lower than the price a year ago. Savannah has the highest price at $3.01 and Catoosa-Dade-Walker has the lowest at $2.82. WSB-TV
