  • Barry Krebs reported on September 28th that the Atlanta Latino Lions Club cleaned a two-mile stretch of Windy Hill Road by removing 23 bags of litter and several tires despite a light rain—volunteers then enjoyed an early lunch at their favorite restaurant.  Cobb County Courier

  • Cobb County issued licenses for 20 new businesses in unincorporated areas on the week ending September 26, 2025—covering sectors from dining to healthcare and construction, with several licenses issued to operations in Marietta.   • The Hillshire Brands Company is recalling about 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage on a stick products due to wood embedded in the batter and five reported injuries; the recalled items were packaged from March 17 to Sept 26 and sold online as well as to schools and food service locations—consumers and institutions are urged to return or discard the products instead of using them.  Cobb County Courier

  • On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons beat the Washington Commanders 34-27 when Michael Penix Jr. threw for a record 313 yards and Bijan Robinson gained 181 yards and four catches to help secure the win.
