- ➤ Marietta officials will consider an agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to take control of a portion of Whitlock Avenue after ongoing potholes and neglect have raised concerns — state management of the roadway has been unsatisfactory. - ➤ Georgia officials announced that electric vehicle drivers must now have multiple passengers to use HOV lanes—drivers riding alone will face toll charges on these lanes. The new rule aims to ensure that only vehicles with more than one occupant use the special lanes. 11Alive
