On October 19th, volunteer Barry Krebs reported that over 900 cars drove to the Keep Cobb Beautiful Household Hazardous Waste event at Jim Miller Park where residents disposed up to 10 gallons of hazardous materials free of charge.

The Cobb County Water Department warned that dumping these items can harm wildlife—local clubs helped support the effort.

Thirty-two new businesses were issued licenses by Cobb County in unincorporated areas during the week ending Friday, October 17—licenses that cover sectors such as catering, real estate, and legal services and do not apply to city areas.
