- ➤ Hire Heroes USA, a Metro Atlanta nonprofit, helps 13,000 veterans and their spouses find jobs each year—Brian Stann said the organization gives veterans new purpose through employment support. 11Alive

- ➤ Gas prices in Georgia fell by six cents over the past week to an average of $2.81 per gallon for regular unleaded—AAA said that lower crude oil prices and weak demand are keeping the drop going. - ➤ Parents and bus drivers in Cobb are questioning the safety of school buses during National Bus Safety Week as they point to staff shortages and old, poorly maintained buses; the superintendent said the buses are safe but has not shared the investigation findings yet—drivers say some buses are over 20 years old and lack proper air conditioning.
