Hundreds ran a 5K Saturday at Hobgood Park in Cherokee County to raise more than $33,000 for the Laken Hope Foundation in memory of nursing student Laken Riley, who was murdered while jogging last year—Jose Ibarra was convicted for her death.

The Cobb Galleria Centre now has a new name—Cobb Convention Center-Atlanta—as it begins a $190 million renovation and expansion that started last month and is set to finish by early 2027.
