- ➤ Hundreds ran a 5K Saturday at Hobgood Park in Cherokee County to raise more than $33,000 for the Laken Hope Foundation in memory of nursing student Laken Riley, who was murdered while jogging last year—Jose Ibarra was convicted for her death. WSB-TV
- ➤ South Cobb Regional Library in Mableton is hosting a series of family-friendly events this November— including an Adult Art Night with 3D Pumpkin Centerpieces on November 5th at 5 PM, a viewing of Wicked on November 8th at 1 PM, and an Indie Author Book Fair on November 15th at 11 AM. - ➤ The Cobb Galleria Centre now has a new name—Cobb Convention Center-Atlanta—as it begins a $190 million renovation and expansion that started last month and is set to finish by early 2027.
