- ➤ Wildwood Park in Marietta has completed its long-awaited renovations — the park now features a disc golf course for local residents, marking years of effort. Officials noted the improvements will boost community activity. Marietta Daily Journal
- ➤ Marietta city officials, local residents and church members gathered Wednesday to honor Rev. Nelson Price by dedicating a memorial pathway along Roswell Street from Marietta Square to Cobb Parkway – Price led Roswell Street Baptist Church for 35 years and died at 94 in August. - ➤ In October, over 120 volunteers including Rep. Lucy McBath worked with teams from Home Depot, Swinerton Builders and Rebuilding Together Atlanta to repair American Legion Post 160 in Smyrna and upgrade the VFW post on Powers Ferry Road in Marietta—installing a community garden and new flooring to support veterans.
