- ➤ MUST Ministries in Marietta was featured on Good Morning America as part of the GMA Strong effort to help Georgia families this Thanksgiving. WSB-TV viewers donated $185,000—enough for 550,000 meals—and a long-time Channel 2 viewer made a $25,000 donation amid delays in food assistance funding. WSB-TV
- ➤ Michael Paris, president and CEO of the Council for Quality Growth, was named East Cobb Citizen of the Year on Thursday at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s East Cobb Area event — his leadership was honored for boosting quality growth locally. Marietta Daily Journal

- ➤ Holiday light displays have returned to metro Atlanta and include a drive-through event at Six Flags in Marietta—World of Illumination’s Candy Rush—which invites visitors to travel a mile-long route to view millions of colorful lights, a giant gingerbread village, and sugar plum fairies from Nov. 14 to Jan. 4. 11Alive

- ➤ Scientists with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources are asking locals to report monarch sightings this winter as part of the MOVERS project—data from these observations will help protect the endangered butterflies and guide future conservation actions. Volunteers can submit their reports through JourneyNorth or iNaturalist from November to March. WSB-TV

- ➤ CobbLinc will expand the autonomous Cumberland Hopper shuttle program in 2027 to connect key stops including Truist Park, the Battery, the Cobb Convention Center, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre — and Cumberland Mall along a three-mile route.
