- ➤ Superica—a popular restaurant at The Battery near Truist Park that had closed for a menu refresh—is set to delay its planned Monday reopening after a fire broke out in its kitchen on Sunday night—a sprinkler system contained the blaze with no injuries reported—while officials investigate the cause. - ➤ The Marietta History Center launched its new online collections database today to provide public access to thousands of artifacts, photographs plus archival treasures. Museum staff have worked to digitize the collection so community members can explore Marietta's history online. WSB-TV

- ➤ Georgia gasoline prices increased by 6 cents to an average of $2.87 per gallon for regular unleaded as Thanksgiving travel nears. - ➤ More than 2 million Georgians are expected to travel during Thanksgiving week as metro Atlanta interstates will face heavy congestion Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.—local officials advise extra travel time to keep roads safe. - ➤ The Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety warned Marietta drivers that holiday travel risks will rise due to an 18% increase in traffic and a high rate of alcohol-related crashes, and law enforcement will boost patrols on primary and secondary roads—from just before Christmas through New Year’s. 11Alive
